PT Pertamina Patra Niaga projects an increase in subsidized and non-subsidized fuel consumption (BBM) during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2025 periods.

Pertamina Patra Niaga's President Director, Riva Siahaan, said that the consumption of Pertamax fuel is projected to increase by 16.7 percent during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr compared to the January period.

According to Riva, Pertamax sales in this period are estimated at 21,713 kiloliters (KL) per day, up from the average sales in January of 18,606 liters per day.

Riva explained that his party calculated the projected fuel consumption by comparing it between March and January because it had the same number of days.

"Because the situation and transportation activities to return to their hometowns have increased, so for Pertamax the increase in consumption is quite high, and we predict it will be 16.7 percent," said Riva, quoted on Friday, February 21.

As for the consumption of Pertalite type fuel, it is estimated that it will increase by 11.2 percent. Meanwhile, Pertite sales are predicted to reach 82,846 KL per day, an increase from January which is 74,503 liters per day.

On the other hand, the increase in fuel consumption is also estimated to occur in the Pertamax Turbo type of 14.9 percent or 843 KL per day from January which is 734 KL per day.

Then Pertamax Green consumption is estimated to increase significantly by 92.1 percent, which is 33 KL per day from the January average consumption of 17 KL per day.

Avtur consumption adun is projected to increase by 5 percent, which is 13,150 KL per day from January which is 12,523 KL per day.

"In terms of the aviation sector, we will project an increase based on historical data and also coordination with the Ministry of Transportation," said Riva.

Although other types of fuel have increased, the decline has actually occurred in the type of fuel Dexlite, which is estimated to have decreased by 5.7 percent to 1,797 KL per day from January which was 1,905 per day.

Even with Pertamina Dex, it will decrease by 14.1 percent to 679 KL per day from January which is 70 Kl per day.

Then the consumption of diesel and biosolar is projected to decrease by 14 percent, which is 37,467 KL per day from January which is 43,584 KL per day.

"For diesel or biosolar, it has decreased (consumption), especially from activities carried out by the industrial sector," said Riva.
