Five Housing Developers Bosses Suddenly Gather, Highlighting Minister Ara's Statement About 3 Million Houses

JAKARTA - A total of five housing development association bosses suddenly gathered and expressed their anxiety regarding the current property sector situation. They are Chairman of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) Joko Suranto, Chairman of the Association for Housing and Settlements Development throughout Indonesia (Apersi) Junaidi Abdillah.

Then, General Chairperson of the Jaya National Housing Development Alliance (Appernas Jaya) Andriliwan Muhammad, Chairman of the Association for Settlement and Public Housing Development (Himpera) Ari Tri Priyono and General Chair of the National House Development and Marketing Association (Asprumnas) M. Syawali.

They highlighted the euphoria of the program to build 3 million houses made by President Prabowo Subianto.

"After 3 months of support for the euphoria of the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), in the end we got a confusing, very counterproductive condition. We got issues related to free houses that had caused counter-community, corrupt land became people's homes and the issue of lowering prices was very shaking, FLPP 800,000 developers were stigmatized naughty and others, it became a drama. In fact, developers have given jobs, paid taxes. But they are accused like that," said Joko Suranto at a press conference in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, Tuesday, February 18th.

The last thing that upsets developers is the invitation of advocate organizations to advocate developers. This is considered strange for the business world, because business actors want a conducive clean and clear running well.

Developers also admit that they do not receive government protection and guidance and instead get negative stigma. In fact, they are afraid of their business future.

"There is an obligation to the bank, the family's future is at stake, developers can't get the convenience of business certainty," he said.

Meanwhile, General Chairperson of Apersi Junaidi Abdillah said that his party had welcomed the program of 3 million houses as desired by President Prabowo. However, later what happened was that the program was increasingly difficult to achieve.

"The program of 3 million existing houses will not be achieved if the condition of the PKP Ministry by Pak Ara is how to lead, his leadership style provokes uproar in the public. Even though what he said was not yet possible, the discourse was high. For example, regarding free houses, the first record is detrimental to developers because many people don't buy, people cancel and confuse people and those who are harmed by developers," he said.

"Regarding the issues that are discussed to build on the land of corruptors, dreams too far because corruptors' land is not easy. The state land alone has not run, let alone corruptors' land. The land of corruptors must be clean and clear because there is the potential to sue," he continued.

For your information, the Ministry of PKP was formed by President Prabowo Subianto as an effort by the government to provide decent and affordable housing for the community.

The development targets to be achieved are as many as 3 million houses every year spread across rural areas as many as 2 million units and in urban areas as many as 1 million units.
