PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) has again shown its commitment to supporting mirko, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), especially traditional embroidery craftsmen in Indonesia. This year, PGN facilitated their participation in the largest handicraft exhibition in Southeast Asia, Inacraft 2025, opening up greater opportunities to introduce their work to national and international markets.
One of the MSMEs assisted by PGN who participated was Zahra Sulaman from Bukittinggi, West Sumatra led by Zulfia. Since 2012, PGN has accompanied this business through training, capital assistance, and access to various exhibitions. Thanks to this support, Zahra's embroidery products start from scarves, mukena, songkets, to increasingly well known materials.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic had hampered their steps. Opportunities to participate in exhibitions have decreased drastically, and marketing has become a challenge in itself. Now, through Inacraft 2025, PGN has again paved the way for Zahra Sulaman to rise and expand her market reach.
"In the past, we started this business from scratch, with limited capital and experience. PGN was here to provide guidance, access to capital, and opportunities to appear in various exhibitions. From there, we became known, even to foreign markets," said Zulfia, owner of Zahra Sulaman.
Currently, Zahra Sulaman is also actively fostering around 15 craftsmen who work from their respective homes. In addition to relying on exhibitions, they also receive orders from customers who are familiar with the quality of their products.
PGN's Corporate Secretary, Fajriyah Usman, emphasized that PGN's presence in Inacraft is not only facilitating craftsmen to sell, but also part of real support for community economic empowerment and preserving local culture.
"We hope that through Inacraft 2025, PGN's MSMEs can be increasingly known and its business will grow wider. This synergy is not only a matter of business, but also building a sustainable community-based economy," said Fajriyah, in a written statement, Wednesday, February 12.

For Zahra Sulaman and other craftsmen, participation in Inacraft 2025 is a great opportunity to move forward.
"We are very grateful to PGN for always supporting us. Without PGN, maybe this business will not develop as it is now," added Zulfia.
With a strong commitment, PGN hopes to continue to be a partner for MSMEs in developing their potential, opening access to a wider market, and creating a sustainable economic impact on society.
