JAKARTA - Perum Bulog and PT SRC Indonesia Sembilan (SRCIS) have officially carried out strategic cooperation to support the development of our Food House (RPK) network and grocery stores in the Sampoerna Retail Community (SRC) network as well as visibility of Bulog products at SRC stores.
This collaboration was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two parties at the Bulog regional office, Semarang, Central Java.
Bulog's Director of Business, Febby Novita, said that the RPK program aims to provide basic food needs, ranging from rice to cooking oil, at affordable prices for the community.
"Bulog collaborated with SRCIS to support the business development of the RPK and the SRC store business by providing opportunities for these grocery stores to become RPK outlets," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, January 8.
Currently, said Febby, there are already 21,000 RPK outlets spread to the RT level throughout Indonesia. Bulog hopes that this collaboration with SRCIS can expand Bulog's food commodity distribution network through grocery stores for SRC members and increase the RPK's business scale.
As an initial stage, continued Febby, this collaboration between Bulog and SRC will begin in the scope of Central Java with the possibility of expanding to other areas in the future.
Our big hope is the distribution of quality food products that can reach wider communities at affordable prices. This is in line with efforts to support the government's program to achieve the stabilization of national food prices," he said.
Meanwhile, SRCIS Director Romulus Sutanto said this collaboration is in line with SRCIS' vision to encourage the growth of the people's economy in Indonesia through strengthening the role of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), especially grocery stores.
"This cooperation between Perum Bulog and SRCIS is also in line with the Government's program related to national food security," he said.

Romulus believes that this will further emphasize SRC's position as one of the important pillars for the Indonesian economy. So far, more than 16 years, he continued, SRCIS has consistently implemented grocery store MSME development and development programs consistently through the SRC program.
The RPK program and the content of Bulog products will further support the contribution of the SRC Store to the community. We hope this collaboration will make it easier for the community to get basic foodstuffs," said Romulus.
