Suddenly AHY Calls Minister Ara To Nusron Wahid, This Is What He Discussed

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development (IPK) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) held a coordination meeting and discussion of the 2025 work plan with five technical ministers at the Coordinating Ministry for IPK office, Jakarta, today.

The five ministers in question are Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid, Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo, Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, Minister of Transmigration Iftitah Sulaiman and Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi.

AHY said that the summons of the five technical ministers was to discuss the draft infrastructure and regional development this year.

"Yes (to discuss) the infrastructure is certain and regional development. This is the beginning of the year, of course we need to coordinate there are five technical ministries in the coordinating area of the Coordinating Ministry for Regional Infrastructure and Development," AHY told reporters, Wednesday, January 8.

AHY said he wanted to listen to the explanations from the ministers regarding the update on infrastructure development in the country during 2024 as well as discussing the draft for this year's performance.

"What is clear is that we want infrastructure development to have an increasingly impact, on target. (So) it contributes significantly to economic growth as well as community welfare," he said.

Not only that, said AHY, he and five technical ministers also want to discuss several strategic issues in the field of infrastructure development. Given, infrastructure is a spectrum that directly touches the lives of many people.

"Because infrastructure is a broad spectrum. Not only large or magnificent in nature, but also a lot of basic infrastructure that directly touches the lives of many people. We want all of them to get priority," he said.

He did not deny that earlier this year his party was still continuing to determine priority programs, which technical ministries often face funding issues.

Thus, said AHY, further discussion and coordination are needed.

"We know that in the early days of this year, we all also still determine programs that must be prioritized. Because we are always faced with budget constraints (financing constraints). There is always limitation in terms of budget, funding and we also have to think about it well," concluded AHY.
