Social Minister Claims Basic Needs Of The Poor Are Fulfilled

Social Minister Syaifullah Yusuf ensured that the basic needs of the poor were met and asked the government at various levels to provide sufficient and adequate protection.

"Our aspirations are a prosperous society, where people have enough food, clothing, and shelter. I hope that social pillars can continue to innovate and work hard to see small people smile," he said when he was a resource person in an interactive dialogue with social workers in Bangkalan, East Java, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 8.

The Minister of Social Affairs said that as many as 12 groups of social welfare services (12-PAS) were the main targets of the work of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

This group includes vulnerable children, people with disabilities, displaced elderly, disaster victims, remote indigenous communities, victims of human trafficking, immigrants, low-income communities, victims of NAPZA and HIV/AIDS, people with mental disorders (ODGJ), residents of social assistance, and other socially problematic community groups.

To increase the effectiveness of the program, Gus Ipul, Syafullah Yusuf's nickname, emphasized the importance of data validity as a basis for work that is integrated with conditions in the field.

With strong synergy, the Minister of Social Affairs is optimistic that the Ministry of Social Affairs can realize the nation's ideals, namely social welfare for the Indonesian people.
