Rawit Chili Prices Rise To IDR 64,940 Per Kg, Unloaded White Onions Even Down

JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that food prices generally fluctuate, red cayenne pepper rises to Rp64,940 per kilogram (kg), while garlic has fallen to Rp42,600 per kg, as of January 4, 2025.

Quoting Antara, based on data from the Bapanas Price Panel, in general, food prices at the retail level nationally, premium rice fell 0.58 percent or Rp90 to Rp15,300 per kg.

Then medium rice also decreased 0.52 percent or Rp70 to Rp13,410 per kg; as well as rice supply stability and food prices (SPHP) Bulog decreased 0.24 percent or Rp30 to Rp12,470 per kg.

Furthermore, the onion commodity was observed to fall 1.36 percent or Rp560 to Rp40,620 per kg; as well as garlic, it fell 0.37 percent or Rp560 to Rp40,620 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili commodities rose 0.45 percent or Rp230 to Rp51,270 per kg; then red chili pepper also rose 1.12 percent or Rp720 to Rp64,940 per kg.

Furthermore, the price of pure beef fell 0.53 percent or Rp720 to Rp134,320 per kg; while pure beef rose 0.32 percent or Rp120 to Rp37,830 per kg; as well as broiler eggs rose 0.20 percent or Rp60 to Rp30,780 per kg.

The commodity of dried soybeans (imports) was observed to fall 0.10 percent or Rp10 to Rp10,390 per kg; then consumption sugar fell 0.06 percent or Rp10 to Rp17,980 per kg.

Furthermore, simple packaged cooking oil rose 0.21 percent or Rp40 to Rp19,160 per kg; while bulk cooking oil fell 2.05 percent or Rp360 to Rp17,240 per kg.

Then the bulk flour commodity also fell 2.01 percent or Rp200 to Rp9,750 per kg; as well as non-inflictional flour also decreased by 1.78 percent or Rp230 to Rp12,700 per kg.

Furthermore, the price of corn at the farmer level rose 1.63 percent or Rp100 to Rp6,240 per kg; then the price of fine salt with sodium also rose 0.52 percent or Rp60 to Rp11,550 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of convex fish was observed to increase by 1.73 percent or Rp660 to Rp38,810 per kg; then tuna fish also rose 1.63 percent or Rp520 to Rp33,330 per kg; while milkfish fell 2.43 percent or Rp820 to Rp32,900 per kg.
