Minister Trenggono Releases The Export Of Fishery Products To 40 Countries Worth IDR 1 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) exports fishery products simultaneously at 22 airports and 23 seaports throughout Indonesia with a total of 11.637 tons or IDR 1.012 trillion.

Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono symbolically conducted the release of exports at the Port of Tanjung Priok, Jakarta which became the center of activities titled Indonesia One Export.

In his statement, Minister Trenggono said that this export will target 40 countries of the world with 157 types of fisheries consisting of living, fresh, frozen, and processed fish products.

"I believe that this activity is part of our efforts to motivate the spirit of advancing the marine and fisheries sector even further, especially in the ongoing pandemic situation", he said, Wednesday, April 14.

He added that the KKP will facilitate businesses to be given mentoring, certification, profiling of market potential, to strengthen the role as quality assurance of the products produced.

Furthermore, Minister Trenggono urged that all relevant elements continue to apply the principles of good sanitation and hygiene in the production process.

"All of this is part of the government's efforts to accelerate national economic recovery while creating a better business and investment climate", he said.

For information, the KKP reported that Indonesia's total fishery exports throughout 2020 reached USD 5.2 billion or approximately IDR 72.8 trillion with a volume of 1.26 million tons.
