JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) noted that until November 2024 there were 165 industrial estate companies that had obtained industrial estate business licenses (IUKI), and were ready to operate.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in a statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 4, said the total land area in the industrial area reached 94,054 hectares, with land that had been covered, both occupied by tenants and for regional infrastructure reaching 59.76 percent. While the remaining 40.24 percent or 37,631 hectares are still available for investment locations.
He said efforts to encourage equal distribution of industrial estate development throughout Indonesia were carried out through the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) program and the National Strategic Project (PSN), which so far has 30 industrial areas operating, and is located outside Java.
According to Minister of Industry Agus, PSN is a project and/or program implemented by government agencies and/or business entities that have a strategic nature to increase growth and equal distribution of development.
In its dynamics, there have been six changes to the attachment to the PSN project in the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation Number 7 of 2021 concerning Amendments to the National Strategic Project List as amended in the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation Number 12 of 2024 which contains 41 PSN projects in the industrial estate sector.
"From the data on the investment plan for 41 PSN industrial areas, there is an investment commitment of around Rp2,785 trillion which will be realized in stages, including investment in industrial estate infrastructure development and tenants in it," he said.
As for 2024, it is estimated that investment realization in the PSN industrial area will reach Rp68 trillion.
Furthermore, he stated that industrial estates also have a strategic role in accelerating 8 percent economic targets according to President Prabowo's direction.
