Minister Nusron Reveals Latest News About Troubled Land In IKN

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid opened his voice regarding 2,086 hectares (ha) of land in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) which is still problematic or has not been released.

Nusron said that currently the settlement is still ongoing. Negotiations are being carried out by the IKN Authority (OIKN) as the person in charge of development.

The land includes those that will be used for the 6A and 6B road sections as well as Sepaku Flood Control.

"If IKN has the right to negotiate, right, IKN Authority. Not in us Mbak, let Mr. Basuki. For us, right, it's already the lex specialist law. All authority in the IKN area," said Nusron in media gathering at the ATR/BPN Ministry Office, South Jakarta, Thursday, November 28, 2024.

However, he admitted that there were still dispute problems outside the IKN area.

Even so, Nusron has not been able to specify how many and where they are located.

"Yes, how many hectares are there. It's still going to be (finished)," he said.

Looking back a little, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said that his party had prepared cash through a spiritual fund scheme to compensate 2,086 hectares of land in IKN which had not been cleared.

Basuki explained that the legal basis for cash payments is in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 75 of 2024.

"We have prepared Rp140 billion from the (Ministry) of Public Works to pay for it later," said Basuki when met by reporters at his office, Friday, August 23.

In addition, he said, his party had received a report that there were people who asked for compensation to be given through a cash scheme.

"This is from Mr. Alimuddin (Deputy for Social, Cultural and Community Empowerment of the IKN Authority), the community is still deliberating. There are several letters asking to be paid directly (cash)," he said.
