PHE ONWJ Performs First Cut Of OOA Pavilion Fabrication At OO-OX Field

JAKARTA PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) conducted the first cut of the steel or the first cut of the offshore platform plate as a sign of the start of the OOA Pavilion fabrication in Bintan, Riau Islands on Wednesday 6 November.

Just so you know, this platform is part of the OO-OX Field development project managed by PHE ONWJ off the coast of the Java Sea.

PHE ONWJ General Manager, Muzwir Wiratama said, the scope of this fabrication covers 200 metric tons of jackets or platform foundations and 500 metric tons of the upper platform (topside), which is carried out by PT Meindo Elang Indah, PHE ONWJ's partner.

"The fabrication schedule takes place ahead of schedule, which reflects PHE ONWJ's strong commitment to supporting the achievement of national energy resilience and the local economy," he said in a statement to the media, Monday, November 18.

Muzwir emphasized that safety and quality remain the top priority in this project.

He continued, after the fabrication was completed, the next stage was the sailing-away platform to the work location, which was planned to be carried out in June 2025.

"This process includes transportation and delivery of the OOA Pavilion to the Java Sea," added Muzwir.

The development of OO-OX Field itself is an oil and gas field optimization project off the coast north of Java which is projected to increase oil production by up to 2,996 barrels per day (BOPD) and natural gas by 21.26 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) standards.

In addition to the OOA Pavilion fabrication, the project also includes the development of additional facilities at the Balongan Onshore Processing Facility (OPF), which aims to accelerate the production storage process.
