Tumtum Maskot Ready To Bring Indonesian SMEs Worldwide At The 2025 World Expo Osaka

JAKARTA - The Indonesian government through the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas together with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, and the Ministry of Trade continues to be committed to supporting business actors to actively participate in the 2025 Osaka World Expo. The presence of the Indonesian mascot, Tumtum also reflects the spirit of innovation, creativity, and collaboration that is the foundation for business actors in Indonesia.

"Indonesia's participation in the 2025 World Expo Osaka has opened great opportunities for Indonesian business people to develop at the international level. The existence of Tumtum in the Indonesian Pavilion also represents values such as cooperation, innovation, and mutual cooperation. The combination of traditional and modern elements from Tumtum will help promote the strength of Indonesia's creative economy and show the diversity of Indonesian culture to the world," said Deputy for Maritime Affairs and Natural Resources at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Vivi Yulawati, in a statement, Monday 30 September.

The theme of the Indonesian Pavilion Thriving in Harmony: Nature, Culture, Future carries a message related to the potential for innovation, culture and creativity of Indonesian business actors, as well as supporting the government's plan to attract global interest and open up opportunities for international cooperation in micro and small businesses in Indonesia. The government still opens opportunities for business people from various sectors, such as fashion, handicrafts, culinary, and technology-based products.

"We are committed to lifting the quality of Indonesian innovation and local works in the eyes of the world. With the help of Tumtum as the mascot that carries a message of diversity and the spirit of never giving up, as well as full support from the government, we will ensure that the work of local business actors can get maximum exposure. We are optimistic that innovation and local Indonesian works will later get attention in Osaka," concluded Deputy Vivi.
