Pertamina Installs A QR Code To Track Fuel Tank Cars

JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus installed a QR Code on a blue and white industrial tanker so that it could be identified by the public considering that often the pattern and color of the car is used to transport subsidized fuel by irresponsible persons.

SAM Industry Jatimbalinus Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus Tunggal Prabowo stated that the presence of this QR Code is expected to facilitate the introduction of tank cars for industrial fuel agents that transport Pertamina's industrial fuel or not.

"Because our Stakeholders often ask whether the generally blue tank car is Pertamina's official transporter," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 20.

The symbolic installation of the QR Code to two transporters, namely PT Sumber Kurnia Mandiri and PT Sinar Anugerah Energi at the Pertamina Integrated Terminal Surabaya office.

The QR Code, which is placed on the side door of the tanker driver, is an identity or quality guarantee that the fuel transported is the industrial fuel officially purchased from the Pertamina depot or industrial fuel agents affiliated with Pertamina.

In detail, Prabowo explained how to check a tank car is very easy, namely scanning the QR Code attached to Pertamina's tank car with a QR scanner application that can be downloaded on the Playstore android or the IOS appstore.

The QR Code scanner needs to enter the name and number of the Whatsapp coming out after the scan is done, the point is to get a one-time password (OTP) sent by the system.

After the scan, you will get the information sent to the whatsapp number such as the name PT and the full address of the BBM agent, number plate, frame number, engine number, tera number, oil and gas transport permit number, TBBM entry permit number, number of payloads, and delivery destination.

The tracer of PT Sinar Anugerah Energi, Yunky Harsono, expressed his appreciation to Pertamina for the QR Code program because the distributors are more profitable considering that it will become legality for distributors as many agents claim to be Pertamina agents.

"Hopefully customers with this program will not hesitate anymore and can get complete agent data on the QR Code", saidYunky.

Area Manager Communication Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus Sunday Rahedi said the QR Code for this industrial fuel tank car in the Jatimbalinus area was carried out in stages.

"Currently, the Integrated Terminal of Surabaya, which is the backbone of the distribution of fuel in the East Java region, will implement the use of the QR Code with the majority distribution area throughout East Java," he said.

According to Sunday, this industrial fuel distribution agent serves purchases of fuel such as Biosolar, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex for diesel fuel which is non-subsidized fuel.

Sunday also conveyed support for the purchase of industrial fuel officially to Pertamina agents which means contributing to regional development considering that in purchasing fuel from Pertamina there is an element of taxation.

"Such as Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB), Income Tax (PPh), and Value Added Tax (VAT)," he said.
