KKP Do This For The Sake Of Fish Milk Entering The Free Nutrition Eating Program Menu

JAKARTA - In an effort to socialize the high nutritional content in fish milk, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) continues to introduce the hydrolicity potential of fish protein (HPI) to parties involved in the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program of the President-elect Prabowo Subianto.

Director of Processing of the Directorate General of Strengthening Competitiveness for Marine and Fishery Products (PDSPKP) Widya Totalto said that his party had introduced the potential of HPI contained in fish milk to the National Food Agency (Bapanas) and the Nutrition Agency.

Widya said the socialization was welcomed by both Badanas and the Nutrition Agency.

He also emphasized that fish milk is not a substitute product for cow's milk, but only as another alternative source that can be used.

"Alhamdulillah, they are interested, especially since Pak Arief (Head of Badanas) sees the potential for milk to be imported, hopefully (fish milk) can be partially substituted. We don't want to replace it," said Widya when met at PT. Give Protein, Bekasi, West Java, Wednesday, September 18.

When asked whether Prabowo Subianto had submitted or invited by the Elected Presidential team, said Widya, his party still did not know about this.

Currently, just meeting between body leaders, such as Badanas.

"If the top level doesn't know, yes, but we just met between directors, we just met the Deputy for the Food Agency. We have just been given a reference framework so that fish enter the MBG program," he said.

Even so, Widya admitted that he was optimistic that HPI products or fish milk could be included in the MBG program.

Given, his party will also soon build a factory in Pekalongan, Central Java.

"Iya be optimisticis, lah, teman-teman sudah bekerja ada hasilnya, kami bangun di Pekalongan. Mudah-mudahan berhasil bisa bangun di tempat lain, terutama di daerah Timur. Di sana ada fish yang tidak banyak digunakan," ujarnya.

Meanwhile, the CEO of PT Gives Indonesian Technology, Yogi Aribawa Krisna, said that his party was still waiting for an answer from the government regarding the certainty of this matter.

However, he stressed, his party had introduced fish dairy products to related parties in the MBG program.

"If the relationship with the government is clear, we have heard and also about the concept of protein autonomy. Now, I am waiting for this portion. I am assisted by the ministry, there is a KKP. That is to bridge, it is possible, it will be for a free nutritious food program," he said.
