Minister Of Manpower Ida Fauziyah Calls Synergy Important For Vocational And Industrial Education Institutions

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker), Ida Fauziyah emphasized the importance of synergy between educational and training institutions with the business world and industry to realize the competencies needed by the labor market or link and match.

"I hope that business and industrial partners work together to think about how to prepare skilled human resources through vocational education," said the Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 16.

Ida said, not only the domestic work market, the preparation of workers to go abroad is quite large, so the Ministry of Manpower will focus on having a job training institution in preparing Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) to work in various countries.

"I think that if all educational and training institutions concentrate not only on fulfilling the domestic work market, but also abroad, I believe we can reduce the open unemployment rate," said Ida.

Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK), Muhadjir Effendy, said the development was a manifestation of a partnership to build a link and match between educational and training institutions and the business world and the industrial world (DUDI).

Without a partnership between educational institutions and the business world and industry, he said, the goal of accelerating progress towards Indonesia Gold 2045 would not go well.

Coordinating Minister Muhadjir said that Indonesia is currently faced with a demographic bonus, where in dealing with the demographic bonus, revitalizing education and vocational training is very important to be a common concern.

"According to Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 68 of 2022 concerning the Revitalization of Vocational Education and Vocational Training, the implementation of this regulation optimizes the potential for demographic bonuses to create superior Indonesian human resources," he said.

On this occasion, Muhadjir appreciated the initiative from the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah who had dedicated her energy and mind to advancing vocational education and training in Mojokerto.
