Chairman Position Of Kadin Accompanied By Anindya Bakrie, Arsjad Rasjid Surat Jokowi

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for the period 2021-2026 Arsjad Rasjid admitted that he had written to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) regarding the chaos that occurred due to the 2024 Kadin Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub) which appointed Anindya Bakrie as the new chairman.

The letter contains an official statement from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Board which states that the 2024 Kadin Munaslub is illegal.

"We have written to President Jokowi, I have signed the letter," he said in an official statement, Monday, September 16.

In Kadin's organization, said Arsjad, the government is the supervisor as stipulated in Law Number 1 of 1987 and Presidential Decree No. 18 of 2022.

Therefore, his party asked for help from the government to pay attention to the chaos that occurred.

"The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's extended family asks for the support of the government as supervisors in accordance with Law No. 1 of 1987 and Presidential Decree No. 18 of 2022 to ensure that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry continues to run according to the national interests and the stipulated AD/ART," said Arsjad.

At the Press Conference held on Sunday, September 15, Deputy Chairperson of the Coordinator for Organization, Law and Communication at Kadin, Yukki Hanafi, said that the Munaslub was not in accordance with the provisions of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's AD/ART and was very full of engineering.

"It was clear that at the Munaslub yesterday, the general chairman was in another place, suddenly there was an impromptu general chairman. For example from Papua, West Kalimantan. The general chairman, even though he was mothers, it turned out that there were men there, gentlemen. This is very clearly engineered," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the North Maluku Chamber of Commerce and Industry, MAS Latuconsina, said that his party called the Munaslub a coup movement because the Munaslub did not fulfill the elements according to the stages and rules in the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's AD ART.

"Friends who were there did not meet the quorum, not in accordance with the AD ART as stated in Presidential Decree No. 18 of 2022," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cucu Sutara, emphasized that Kadin is a strategic partner of the government and must join hands with the government to achieve economic growth in 2045.

However, in terms of leadership in Kadin and Munaslub, these two things must comply with the provisions and laws.
