APSYFI Agrees On The Results Of The Munaslub Appointing Anindya As Chairman Of The Chamber Of Commerce And Industry

JAKARTA - The Association of Indonesian Filamentary Filaments and Fiaments Manufacturers (APSYFI) supports the results of the Extraordinary National Conference (munaslub) of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) in 2024 which stipulates Anindya Novyan Bakrie as Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the 2024-2029 Period.

Chairman of the Association of Filamentary and Filamentary Filaments Indonesia Producers (APSyFI), Redma Gita Wirawasta said that amidst the pressure on the nation's economic conditions, the role of the business world is very important to provide input to the upcoming government.

"Not just conveying, but ensuring that the input is heard, studied and implemented," he said in his statement, Sunday, September 15.

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's National Conference which was held yesterday, Saturday, September 14, 2024 was also attended by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Textile Association, Jemmy Kartiwa.

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's 2024 National Conference was initiated by the majority of the Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Association as well as the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Extraordinary Member Association (ALB), which in its implementation was attended by 28 Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry and 25 Associations/voting Associations representing 221 associations/other associations in 15 groups of the ALB sector.

Redma said that the condition of the business world, especially the manufacturing sector, with signs of deindustrialization, must be addressed immediately and needs immediate improvement steps.

"Even though the world market is being corrected, we still have a domestic market to grow, Kadin is needed to coordinate a number of problems between sectors and take steps to optimize the domestic market for the benefit of our industry," said Redma.

Redma added that the manufacturing sector, which is currently in the trend of layoffs including TPT, is very important to be saved immediately in order to avoid the brink of crisis.

"Because this manufacturing sector in addition to functioning as a earner of foreign exchange and meeting domestic needs also functions as a socio-economic safety net as a sector that currently absorbs 18.82 workers," he said.

According to Redma, in the previous management of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as Chairman of the Other Processing Industry Committee under the WKU Association and Association, to pursue 8 percent economic growth, it is necessary to grow the processing industry above 10 percent with a contribution to GDP of around 25 percent.

"I think we all understand these calculations and Kadin's challenges in the future to fight for it, don't let manufacturing performance drop again with growth of only 4 percent even below economic growth," said Redma.

Redma said that together with the government, Kadin in the future needs to correct many policies in the industrial sector, energy, trade, logistics, agriculture, tourism and other sectors to incentive policies that are less effective in synergizing and supporting each other to achieve these targets.

"Obviously Mas Anin understands the problems of the business world very well, and as an Association under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the TPT sector is ready to fight together to make it happen," he concluded.
