JAKARTA - PT Pertamina EP is determined to continue to contribute to the upstream oil and gas industry and national energy security.

This commitment was conveyed by the President Director of Pertamina EP Wisnu Hindadari to more than 1,100 Pertamina EP workers who joined offline and online in commemoration of Pertamina EP's 19th Birthday (HUT) on September 13, 2024.

"This year's anniversary commemoration theme 'Collaboration Energy' should be able to turn on the commitment of every Pertamina EP person to continue to move, innovate, and contribute," said Wisnu quoting Antara.

As the third largest crude oil producer and second contributor to national natural gas production, this achievement is the result of efforts to maintain oil production by 65,930 barrels of oil per day and natural gas by 814.41 million cubic feet of gas per day, as of August 31, 2024.

This performance is also supported by drilling activities of 65 development wells, 152 workover wells, and 1,912 well services.

As part of the plan to develop future operations, Pertamina EP was able to record exploration performance with the findings of new oil and gas resources in early 2024, including the exploration wells Orchid Violet (AVO-001) and Julang Emas (JLE-001). Meanwhile, the realization of 2C oil and gas resources reached 76.31 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Pertamina EP has also succeeded in completing major projects such as replacing three integrated separator units of Dewa Collection Station in Adera Field, replacing pipeline injection lines at Ramba Field, construction of Removal and Dehydration Unit (DHU) CO2 at Karang Baru Collection Station.

Then, the work to replace the 1C Gas Turbin Generator for X-Ray Field in Jatibarang, the completion of the Facility Sharing Agreement (FSA) Sanga Sanga and Anggana PEP-PHSS, and the workover work of wells in Poleng Field.

"We have contributed to efforts to reduce carbon emissions through the decarbonization program of 217,080 tons of CO2eq," said Wisnu.

This performance was successfully achieved through a number of programs, including reducing flare gas by using a own gas compressor, optimizing own used gas, converting diesel fuel to B35, and other flagship programs.

To achieve the production target, Wisnu also reiterated the priority of the culture and practice of work safety in every operational activity in all work areas of Pertamina EP, which covers 22 oil and gas fields in 13 provinces from northwest Sumatra to Papuan bird heads.

In addition to operational performance, he also mentioned the company's achievements through the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program over the past year.

The initiatives for community development that are oriented to create social welfare and create new jobs are recognized by stakeholders through the 54 awards received by Pertamina EP.

Pertamina EP officer's real determination to continue to pursue optimal performance, according to Wisnu, must be done by changing the mindset that acts as the foundation for transformation.

Pertamina EP is a cooperation contract contractor (KKKS) under the supervision of SKK Migas with a working area covering 22 fields spread throughout Indonesia.
