The Ministry Of Transportation Has Reviewed The Plan To Increase Jabodetabek KRL Tariffs By Rp1,000, When Will It Take Effect?

The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has pocketed the results of a study related to the plan to increase the tariff for the Jabodetabek electric train (KRL).

As for this study, the KRL tariff is planned to increase by Rp1,000.

The Director General of Approximation at the Ministry of Transportation, Risal Wasal, said that the study on the impact of the Jabodetabek KRL tariff had not yet been implemented.

"The study (planned to increase the Jabodetabek KRL tariff) actually existed. At that time we wanted to increase the position of Rp1,000 silver. But it has not yet been implemented," he said when met at the DPR Building, Parlmen Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 11.

Risal also ensured that the Jabodetabek KRL rate would not increase this close. He said this tariff increase was still waiting for the blessing of the new government.

"The increase has not yet been decided whether it is or not. Wait. We are waiting for the new cabinet to see what the direction is," he explained.

Regarding the population identification number (NIK)-based subsidy, Risal also said that it had not been determined whether it would apply.

He said his party was still waiting for directions.

"It's still not there. Anyway, we don't guess first. I'm waiting for the latest directions later," he said.
