JAKARTA - Peruri and PT Pos Indonesia launched a special series stamp in order to welcome Pope Francis' historic visit to Indonesia. In the stamp design, there are three words that have deep meaning and reflect the values of Catholic teachings.

The three words are faith or which means faith. Then, fraternity or brotherhood. Lastly compassion or mercy.

The arrival of Pope Francis, a leader of the world Catholic church in Indonesia, is an event that is highly anticipated, especially by Catholics in Indonesia who have been waiting for this moment for 35 years.

Head of Corporate Secretary of Peruri Adi Sunardi said Peruri was trusted by PT Pos Indonesia to print a special series stamp for Pope Francis, not only as a symbol of respect for an inspirational figure, but also as a symbol of unity and peace between religious communities.

"As well as being a valuable memento for Catholics and all Indonesian people," he said in an official statement, Thursday, September 5.

Adi said the privilege of this stamp was increasingly felt because Pope Francis also inaugurated the launch of the stamp when he led the Grand Mass which took place at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, this afternoon.
