The Realization Of The Ministry Of Cooperatives And SMEs' Budget Until September 2024 Is Only IDR 710.8 Billion, Minister Teten Reveals Its Obstacles

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) reported that the realization of this year's budget only reached 51.14 percent until September 2, 2024.

Of the total budget ceiling of IDR 1.39 trillion, only IDR 710.8 billion has been realized.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki in a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission IV of the DPR RI together with the Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 4.

"We convey that the realization of the 2024 budget as of September will reach 51.14 percent. This does look small because there are still some implementations that will still be completed in November and December," said Teten.

Teten also targets the realization of the budget to reach 53.46 percent by 30 September.

Meanwhile, until December 2024, budget absorption is expected to reach 97.11 percent.

On that occasion, Teten explained that there were several obstacles in the implementation of the budget in the second quarter.

One of them is priority programs such as joint production houses to revitalizing the people's market which are still in the procurement or auction stage.

In addition, there are also related to the implementation of complete data collection which is still being carried out in 4 provinces.

Discussion of the cooperative bill that has not yet begun.

"I discussed with the Minister of Law and Human Rights, he asked for priority in completing the cooperative bill," he said.

Based on VOI's records, the realization of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs' budget has increased somewhat.

The reason is, until June 7, 2024, the realization of the Kemenkop budget has only touched 28.7 percent or IDR 400.3 billion.

Then as of September 2, the budget absorption will be 51.14 percent or reach Rp710.8 billion. This means that the increase in the realization of the budget is almost double.
