Food Prices Rise Slightly, Cayenne Pepper Even Drops To IDR 42,780 Per Kg

JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that the price of red cayenne pepper fell by Rp5,750 to Rp42,780 per kilogram (kg), while garlic, broiler eggs and sugar still rose slightly.

Based on data from the Bapanas Price Panel in Jakarta on Saturday at 07.30 WIB, food prices at the retail level nationally, such as premium rice, were observed to have slightly increased by 0.13 percent or Rp20 to Rp15,570 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of medium rice fell slightly by 0.29 percent or Rp40 to Rp13,550 per kg; as well as rice supply stability and food prices (SPHP) Bulog also slightly decreased by 0.16 percent or Rp20 to Rp12,580 per kg.

Likewise, the price of shallot commodities also fell by 2.52 percent or Rp630 to Rp24,380 per kg; while garlic rose 0.33 percent or Rp130 to Rp39,820 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili commodities fell 9.21 percent or Rp3,770 to Rp37,170 per kg; then red chili pepper also fell to 11.85 percent or Rp5,750 to Rp42,780 per kg.

Then, the price of pure beef also decreased by 3.49 percent or Rp4,720 to Rp130,340 per kg; while broiler meat rose 1.78 percent or Rp620 to Rp35,450 per kg; as well as broiler eggs also rose 2 percent or Rp570 to Rp29,020 per kg.

Next, the price of dried soybeans (imports) was also observed to increase by 2.35 percent or Rp280 to Rp12,200 per kg; then consumption sugar also rose 1.34 percent or Rp240 to Rp18,170 per kg.

Similar to the price of simple packaged cooking oil, it was observed that it rose 0.44 percent or Rp80 to Rp18,160 per kg; while bulk cooking oil was observed to have decreased by 1.24 percent or Rp200 to Rp15,970 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of bulk flour also rose 0.20 percent or Rp20 to Rp10,270 per kg; meanwhile, non-mass wheat flour fell 0.90 percent or Rp120 to Rp13,180 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level rose 2.66 percent or Rp160 to Rp6,170 per kg; while the price of fine salt with sodium fell 2.43 or Rp280 to Rp11,230 per kg.

Next, the price of kembung fish rose 3.69 percent or Rp1,370 to Rp38,520 per kg; as well as tuna rising 1.92 percent or Rp610 to Rp32,390 per kg; while milkfish were observed to fall 5.91 percent or Rp1,960 to Rp31,180 per kg.
