JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) continues to strengthen its commitment to optimize the use of national children's products in business operations by involving domestic industries, including MSMEs, in the Company supply chain. For his contribution to the absorption of domestic products, SIG received five PADi UMKM Expo & Conference Award 2024 awards at the Closing and Award of the PaDi MSME Expo & Conference 2024 at the Ministry of SOEs on Tuesday 27 August.

The awards achieved by SIG include Rank 1 BUMN Type B in the Buyer Group category with the Most Transaction Frequency; Rank 1 BUMN Type B in the Buyer Group category with the Most Transaction Volume; Rank 1 BUMN Type B in the BUMN category with the Highest Transaction Frequency, Rank 1 BUMN Type B category in the BUMN category with the Most Transaction Volume, as well as the Best of The Best BUMN Type B award.

PaDi UMKM Expo & Conference initiated by the Ministry of SOEs is an effort to support the marketing of MSME products as well as a strategic step in creating an ecosystem for MSMEs to grow sustainably. PaDi MSME Hybrid Expo & Conference 2024 is held hybridly in two locations, namely the Sarinah Jakarta Building on 11-14 July 2024, and at e-Walk Plaza Balikpapan on 18-21 July 2024. Director of Supply Chain SIG, Yosviandri expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of SOEs for the initiation of the implementation of PaDi UMKM Expo & Conference 2024 which is a forum for meeting or business matching between MSME activists and state-owned companies, to expand marketing and increase sales of MSME products.

GIS recorded 111 transactions with a total value of IDR 5.132 billion for MSME product expenditures through the PaDi UMKM application during the implementation of PaDi UMKM Expo & Conference 2024 online on 11 July-10 August 2024. The types of products spent include merchandise, factory spare parts, ICT infrastructure (information and communication technology), ATK (office writing equipment), event organizers, and calendars.

"The 2024 PaDi MSME Expo & Conference Award is clear evidence of SIG's alignment with the domestic industry, especially MSMEs which are one of the pillars of the Indonesian economy. GIS is committed to optimizing the use of MSME products in the Company's business operations to support the development and progress of MSMEs," said Yosviandri.

Yosviandri added, in an effort to increase the domestic component (TKDN), GIS provides assistance to SME activists to be able to produce spare parts of the GIS factory in order to reduce dependence on imported products. The mentoring process includes product specifications education, prototype manufacturing, trial process, to performance tests at the GIS factory. To date, as many as 8 SIG-based SMEs have succeeded in producing 10 types of spare parts that meet industry standards and are ready to be used in SIG factories.

"The commitment to using domestic products has led SIG to achieve an award for Increasing the Use of Domestic Products (P3DN) as the Best Domestic Product User in the category of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) from the Ministry of Industry for two consecutive years, namely in 2023 and 2024," said Yosviandri.
