King Air Aircraft Type 200 PK CAO Successfully Landing At IKN Airport Smoothly

JAKARTA - The runway test or runway of Nusantara Capital Airport (IKN), in East Kalimantan, went smoothly and smoothly today. The trial process for taking off and landing at IKN Airport, East Kalimantan is carried out using a King Air type 200 PK CAO calibration aircraft.

This trial was witnessed directly by the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi together with the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono.

"What we are doing now is a kind of proving flight because what is made is not only a runway, but its airways," said Minister of Transportation Budi in an official statement, Sunday, August 25.

For your information, the proving flight is an operational test process carried out to ensure flight readiness on new flight routes.

Budi also said that IKN Airport, in East Kalimantan, had been designed so as not to have problems with airports in Balikpapan and Samarinda.

"After this trial, a number of other assessments will be continued regarding flight safety and security," continued Budi.

Meanwhile, PUPR Minister Basuki said that currently the construction of the IKN Airport runway has reached a length of 1,025 times 30 meters.

"Today, even with drizzling conditions, we can reach 1,025 meters, the target in early September will be 2,200 meters so that the B737 jet can be accommodated," said Basuki.
