Subsidy Fertilizer Allocation Added To 9.55 Million Tons, Pusri Boss: Optimize Distribution Until The End Of 2024

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Pusri) Palembang Daconi Khotob said the government had increased the allocation of subsidized fertilizers to 9.55 million tons from the previous 4.75 tons.

The addition of subsidized allocations is aimed at four types of fertilizer, namely Urea, NPK, Special Formula NPK and Organic Fertilizer.

Meanwhile, nationally, subsidized fertilizer stocks as of August 21, 2024 were recorded at 1,220,283 tons or reached 263 percent.

In detail, urea amounted to 683,930 tons, NPK amounted to 522,501 tons and NPK Formula amounted to 13,852 tons.

All of these stocks can be utilized by farmers who have been registered with the Definitive Group Needs Plan (RDKK).

For the South Sumatra region, the total stock of subsidized fertilizer provided by Pusri is 20,796 tons or 179 percent of the minimum stock provision.

With urea details of 10,395 tons. NPK of 10,393 tons and NPK of Formula 8 tons.

The realization of the distribution of subsidized fertilizers in Pusri has exceeded the target of 141 percent when compared to the Ministry of Agriculture Number 744 and has reached 90 percent of Ministry of Agriculture Number 249 concerning procedures for determining allocations and retail prices for subsidized fertilizers in the agricultural sector.

"To optimize the distribution of subsidized fertilizers until the end of 2024, Pupuk Indonesia as the holding also requires all distributors to ensure that all foster kiosks are able and understand the system used in the distribution of subsidized fertilizers using farmer cards or i-Pubers," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 22.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono invited all parties to be involved in increasing food productivity, as well as monitoring distribution and various obstacles that arise in the field, especially those related to the availability of fertilizers.

"What we are doing concerns the needs of hundreds of millions of people, so every obstacle must be found a solution," he said.

"In the future, Pusri can continue to carry out revitalization, upgrading tools, efficiency in the hope of producing quality and affordable fertilizers," said Sudaryono.
