Badanas Reports Chili Prices Drop And Stable Rice Supply

JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that the price of red cayenne pepper fell to Rp59,870 per kilogram (kg) and rice supply stability and food prices (SPHP) Bulog was stable at a price of Rp12,590 per kg, as of August 18, 2024.

Based on data from the Badanas Price Panel, which was reported on Sunday at 08.30 WIB, food prices at the retail traders level nationally were still fluctuating, such as premium rice which was observed to still rise slightly by 0.13 percent or Rp20 to Rp15,560 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of medium rice fell slightly by 0.15 percent or Rp20 to Rp13,540 per kg; then Bulog's rice supply stability and food prices (SPHP) were stable at a price of Rp12,590 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of shallot commodities rose 1.77 percent or Rp450 to Rp25,930 per kg; then garlic also slightly increased by 0.68 percent or Rp270 to Rp40,030 per kg.

Similar to the price of curly red chilies also rose 1.86 percent or Rp830 to Rp45,400 per kg; while red cayenne pepper fell 2.75 percent or Rp1,690 to Rp59,870 per kg.

Then the price of pure beef rose 0.47 percent or Rp640 to Rp135,540 per kg; while the price of pure beef fell 2.49 percent or Rp870 to Rp34,130 per kg; as well as chicken eggs, it fell 0.42 percent or Rp120 to Rp28,570 per kg.

Furthermore, dried soybeans (imports) were observed to drop slightly by 0.50 percent or Rp60 to Rp11,890 per kg; while consumption sugar rose 0.39 percent or Rp70 to Rp17,970 per kg.

Furthermore, simple packaged cooking oil slightly rose 0.11 percent or Rp20 to Rp17,960 per kg; then bulk cooking oil also fell 0.75 percent or Rp120 to Rp15,900 per kg.

Next, the price of bulk flour also decreased slightly by 0.20 percent or Rp20 to Rp10,230 per kg; as well as non-mass wheat flour decreased by 0.83 percent or Rp110 to Rp13,180 per kg.

Furthermore, the price of corn at the farmer level also fell 1.90 percent or Rp110 to Rp5,690 per kg; similar to the price of fine salt with sodium, it fell 0.69 percent or Rp80 to Rp11,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of convex fish rose by 3.46 percent or Rp1,260 to Rp37,650 per kg; while tuna fish fell slightly by 0.95 percent or Rp300 to Rp31,250 per kg; then milkfish also fell 1.60 percent or Rp510 to Rp31,400 per kg.
