PT Pertamina EP Tarakan has again carried out a tax or tradition of Pertamina starting drilling two oil wells in the Pamusian SE-1 and Pamusian SE-2 Tarakan areas.

"The cost of drilling for one well in Pamusian is eight million to 10 million dollars, bringing a total of 16 million dollars or equivalent to Rp120 billion," said Tarakan EP Field Manager Cahyo Tri Mulyanto as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 15.

Pertamina EP Tarakan Field in 2024 drilled for six wells located in Pamusian with two wells, Juata with one well and in Sembakung, Tana Tidung Regency there are three wells.

"With a target of one well of 250 barrels per day and please pray for it, hopefully it will be achieved according to the target," said Cahyo.

He explained that starting in 2023, Pertamina EP Tarakan Field began drilling oil wells for deep structures with a depth of 1,500 meters and existing wells from Dutch colonial heritage with a depth of 300 to 400 meters.

"And Alhamdulillah, there is still potential with daily production of 1,600 to 1,900 barrels," said Cahyo.

Last year's Pamusian area had drilling for four wells and now two more oil wells have been added.

The SE-1 and SE-2 Pamusian wells will be drilled 1,500 meters deep with a work time of 30 to 40 days.

The oil drilling area in Pamusian is close to a residential area of 10 hectares.

"Safety is our top priority, because if we drill the risk is very high. We use reliable equipment and high technology," said Cahyo.
