JAKARTA - TASPEN is committed to improving the welfare of the Indonesian people through a sustainable economic empowerment program. Since February 2024, TASPEN has been active in the BUMN house' program initiated by the Ministry of SOEs.

BUMN houses are a collaboration platform for SOEs, MSMEs, government agencies, start-up companies, and communities to develop the digital ecosystem. The Co-Working Space facility in BUMN Homes supports business incubation, while basecamp millennials are the center of activity to support Millennial generation in business development and implementation of SOE Millennials programs.

As part of the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), BUMN Houses also play a role in disaster management through the disaster task force, as well as implementing the Partnership and Environmental Development Program (PKBL) and People's Business Credit (KUR) and functioning as literacy and information centers for MSME players.

As a form of real support, TASPEN participated in the UMKM 'Real Work of the Vol.5' Festival in Bangka Belitung, attended by 81 local MSMEs and 20 state-owned companies, with total transactions reaching more than IDR 400 million and attended by more than 11,800 visitors.

"MSMEs are one of the economic milestones in Indonesia. For this reason, through the BUMN House, TASPEN contributes to increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs so that they can compete in the national and international markets. In addition, the development of MSMEs is expected to create new jobs so that people can be more prosperous. TASPEN believes, only with the synergy with all related parties that support the growth of MSMEs can be formed," said TASPEN Corporate Secretary Pudiastuti Citra Adi, in a written statement, Monday 12 August.

Since 2017, 245 BUMN houses have been established and spread throughout Indonesia, including Bangka Belitung, Yogyakarta, Balikpapan, West Sumatra, Aceh, and Jakarta. In Bangka Belitung itself, there are five BUMN houses located in Sungailiat, Koba, Toboali, Pangkalpinang, and Belitung.

A total of 2,991 MSMEs have been registered at the Bangka Belitung BUMN House with 829 MSMEs having switched to Go-Online and Go-Digital, namely by selling through e-commerce and utilizing buying and selling facilities on social media.
