There Are 472 IKN Investment Interests, Minister Basuki: Only 220 Deserves To Be Called Investors

The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) recorded the number of investment interest statements or Letter of Intent (LoI) to IKN reaching 472 investors. However, of this number, only 220 LoI are certain to be worthy.

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) as well as Acting Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono said investment realization in IKN is his priority at this time.

In this case, Basuki was appointed by Jokowi as Deputy Chair of the IKN Investment Acceleration Task Force. He said his party was asked to focus on interest

"In fact, from these 472, I just continued. According to the previous evaluation, it was only 220 that deserved to be called investors," Basuki told reporters in Jakarta, Thursday, August 8.

Basuki explained this because most of the 472 LoIs mix with contractors, consultants, and suppliers. Basuki said that his party was negotiating so that the 220 LoIs had certainty.

"I asked for answers and they didn't need to be hanged, right, but they answered. There were 220 yesterday, 45 were groundbreaking," he said.

Of this number, said Basuki, his party is re-curating so that 60 priority investors are produced. These investors are being processed to accelerate their realization.

"Later, I will invite again those that have been evaluated. There are 60 that are currently in the process. Now, we will try to accelerate it again," said Basuki

"There are two from abroad, namely China and Japan," he concluded.
