JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) has made the free nutritious food program a success in accordance with the policies and directions from the elected President and Vice President Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Of course we from the National Food Agency really support the government for this free lunch program. Supporting it, it means that when we talk about free food, do we need raw materials such as eggs and vegetables, we coordinate this, even though the place will be, it will be a government policy (coming)," said Acting (Plt) Main Secretary of Bakanas Sarwo Edhy as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 29.

According to him, Badanas itself already has programs such as programs such as various, Nutritious, Balanced and Safe (B2SA) programs and the Education and Giving of Nutritional Food for Students (Genius).

The Genius Program is carried out by Bapanas to cultivate not to waste food and not leave food and educate about nutritious and good food intake, thus creating a pattern of regular food intake, including getting used to breakfast.

Meanwhile, the B2SA Program is Bapanas' effort to increase public awareness from eating to just being full to eating health.

"What is clear is that we have the B2SA program, then there is the Genius program for students in a number of schools which of course are scattered in regencies/cities that we have sampled," he said.

Regarding the free lunch program, Badanas reiterated to support the government regarding the program.

Previously, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Sri Mulyani Indrawati allocated a budget for the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program of IDR 71 trillion in the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN).

The MBG Porgram Budget has been included in the posture of the 2025 RAPBN which was agreed upon in the discussion of the Macro Economic Framework and the Principles of Fiscal Policy (KEM-PPKF).

As is known, the MBG program is one of the priority programs of the elected president and vice president Prabowo-Gibran.

Furthermore, the State Treasurer said the Prabowo-Gibran Team would draw up details of the MBG Program which was explained separately. The preparation of the 2025 RAPBN itself is carried out following the APBN cycle regulated in the State Finance Law and discussed with the DPR for approval.
