JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) invites all producing countries to focus on developing and implementing regulatory standards that are actively to advance a sustainable coconut industry that supports the 51st green economy in Cocotech in Surabaya, East Java.
Director General of International Trade Negotiations of the Ministry of Trade, Djatmiko Bris Witjaksono, said that synergy between countries is needed to overcome various common challenges.

For this reason, research and innovation need to move forward in order to continue to encourage coconut potential in the renewable energy sector.
Furthermore, Djatmiko added, downstreaming through research and innovation needs to be encouraged so that the potential of coconut commodities can be maximized.
"In short, I underline that downstreaming through research and innovation so that added-valued products need to continue to move forward, which is strengthened by investment in the renewable energy sector. Indonesia as the leader in the global energy transition must utilize coconut potential as a need for green energy," he said.
