Good News For Collectors, Exchanging Special Edition Of IDR 75,000 Becomes 100 Pieces Per Day

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) has implemented a new policy related to the exchange of special editions of the 75th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (Independence Commemoration Money 75 of RI) in denominations of Rp. 75,000 to a maximum of 100 notes per person.

Head of the BI Communication Department, Erwin Haryono, said the renewal took effect on Monday, March 22 at all Bank Indonesia representative offices as well as commercial banks that are partners with the central bank.

"Therefore, people who have exchanged Independence Commemoration Money of 75 Years of RI can come back and continue to exchange," he said in an official statement, Monday, March 22.

Erwin added, Independence Commemoration Money of 75 Years of RI, which was issued on August 17, 2020, is a legal tender in the entire territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

"The exchange of Independence Commemoration Money of 75 Years of RI, either individually or collectively, can be done at the BI Office with the same ordering and exchange procedures as the previous mechanism," he said.

For information, the public can place individual orders via PINTAR (https://pintar.bi.go.id) and choose the same exchange date as the order date if the order is made before 11.30 local BI office time. Individual and collective exchange mechanisms can be seen in the PINTAR application.

"The improvement of the Independence Commemoration Money of 75 Years of RI exchange mechanism is expected to provide wider opportunities for the public to get more Independence Commemoration Money of 75 Years of RI, as well as an effort to improve BI public services. BI appealed to the public, "said Erwin.

Previously, the rules for the special edition money exchange could only be obtained for a maximum of 1 sheet for one person with the requirement of a National Identity Card (KTP).
