Wamenan Emphasizes The Need For Loster Seed Distribution Speed

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan) Sudaryono emphasized the need for speed of distribution of seeds and fertilizers to farmers in order to increase agricultural productivity in order to realize Indonesian food self-sufficiency.

Sudaryono in Jakarta Friday, July 19, said that he, who was born into a farming family, really understands how things feel when seeds or fertilizers are slow to obtain.

"I think it's important, I myself come from a farmer's family, Mr/Mother (I am a farmer's family. We feel that fertilizer is three days a week late, that's the difference like heaven and earth," he said during a separate activity welcoming the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Harvick Hasnul Qolbi, to Sudaryono in Jakarta, quoted from Antara.

According to him, food is a primary need for the community, but to produce it requires the role of productivity of farmers. Therefore, he emphasized the need to support farmers in increasing agricultural productivity.

"So, I feel that once there are no seeds, the fertilizer is not enough, the fertilizer comes in time, it's different from heaven and earth, such as life and death," he said.

Therefore, Sudaryono invited the ranks of work within the Ministry of Agriculture to fully support self-sufficiency efforts currently being carried out by the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman through the provision of seeds, fertilizers, alsintan, and also fast pumping solutions.

Sudaryono also said that these various programs must be carried out quickly so that in the future Indonesia can become a world food barn.

He also said that the agricultural sector is a very important sector for the progress of the nation and the resilience of the country. For him, food availability cannot be seen from one side but must also be done from various sides.

He emphasized that food sovereignty and the welfare of farmers are important, because they involve the lives of millions of Indonesians.

"We are special, special, because our steps come from the office five minutes late, it could cause one week of fertilizer delay, two weeks for our farmers in the field. This means that accuracy, discipline, then measurable is an important thing," he said.

In addition, he emphasized that he was ready to give his best for the success of the Ministry of Agriculture program under the leadership of Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman.

Although he admits that he still has to learn a lot about the bureaucracy, organizational structure, management and others within the Ministry of Agriculture.

"I am certainly a new official mandated as Deputy Minister of Agriculture, my spirit to come here is a good itikaf, a clean heart, a desire to serve," said Sudaryono.
