BI: Foreign Funds Entered Reaching IDR 5.59 Trillion In The Second Week Of July 2024

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) noted that there was an incoming foreign capital or capital inflow from domestic finance from July 8 to July 11, 2024, non-residents in the domestic financial market recorded a net purchase of IDR 5.59 trillion.

Assistant Governor of the Communication Department of Bank Indonesia Erwin Haryono said that foreign funds entering came from the Government Securities (SBN) market, shares and the Rupiah Securities of Bank Indonesia (SRBI).

"Buy a net of IDR 3.00 trillion in the SBN market, buy a net of IDR 0.32 trillion in the stock market, and buy a net of IDR 2.27 trillion in the Bank Indonesia Rupiah Securities (SRBI)," he explained through an official statement, quoted Friday, July 12.

Selama tahun 2024, berdasarkan data setelmen sampai dengan 11 Juli 2024, non-resident tercatat jual neto Rp28,82 triliun di pasar SBN, jual neto Rp6,75 triliun di pasar saham, dan beli neto Rp153,20 triliun di SRBI.

In line with these developments, Erwin said that the CDS Indonesia premium 5 years as of July 11, 2024 was 69.03 bps, down from July 5, 2024, of 72.98 bps.

Erwin said that based on the development of Bank Indonesia's conditions, it continues to strengthen coordination with the Government and relevant authorities and optimize policy mix strategies to maintain macroeconomic and financial system stability in order to support sustainable economic growth.
