IKN Development Contracted Physical Package Progress Reaches 45 Percent, Total Budget Of IDR 83.42 Trillion

JAKARTA - Chairman of the IKN Infrastructure Development Planning Task Force of the Ministry of PUPR, Imam Santoso Ernawi, said that the total progress of the implementation of physical packages contracted IKN development during 2020-2024 only reached 45.11 percent.

This value consists of 106 packages and has a budget of IDR 83.42 trillion.

"There are approximately 106 packages in all packages, 106 packages already have a budget of approximately Rp. 83.42 trillion," said Imam in an online press conference, Thursday, July 11.

Imam explained, for batch 1 of the IKN project whose building will be functional during the commemoration ceremony on August 17, 2024, now the progress has reached around 88 percent.

In his presentation, Imam said that batch 1 has 40 contracted physical packages, which includes the construction of the State Palace, four Offices of the Coordinating Ministry and the Office of the Presidential Secretariat. The total cost reaches IDR 25 trillion.

"If we talk about batch 1 alone, especially this, what we have been aggressively doing, such as the palace and so on, is 88 percent of the progress. Including the batch 1, yes, all 40 packages," he said.

For batch 2, he said, the progress has reached 46.7 percent. Batch 2 has 31 physical packages with a total contract budget ceiling of IDR 27.68 trillion.

"But of all this package, of course not all of it is for the 17 Augusts. However, there are those that have been completed. Now some are not finished, but some will be completed according to the contract, yes," said Imam.

"Actually, there are those in October, September or some at the end of the year. However, the 2024 contracts even exist until the beginning of next year," he added.
