JAKARTA - The Association of Regional Guarantee Companies (Aspenda) noted that total assets owned by Regional Credit Guarantee Companies (Jamkrida) throughout Indonesia in 2023 increased by 20.4 percent compared to 2022.

Head of Aspenda Agus Subrata said, in 2023 the total assets of Jamkrida throughout Indonesia reached IDR 5.6 trillion.

"The increase is 20.4 percent from 2022 where the asset value reaches IDR 4.6 trillion," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 4.

Agus said, every year, the average increase in the guarantee industry has increased by around 10 percent to 20 percent.

Therefore, for 2024, he said, it is estimated that the increase in total assets owned by all Jamkrida throughout Indonesia will increase by 10 to 20 percent.

Meanwhile, he said, for guarantee income obtained from guarantee services (IJP) in 2023, Jakmrida throughout Indonesia managed to record IDR 1.48 trillion.

"Increased by 73.9 percent from 2022 where in 2022 it only posted Rp855 billion," he said.

Agus said that there was no data on how many MSMEs had been held by Jamkrida throughout Indonesia, but from the number of books it could be known the composition of MSMEs in Indonesia.

Because based on a report from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) the number of MSME actors in Indonesia currently is 64 million and the majority of them are driving the economy in an area.

Agus, who is also the Acting General Director of Jamkrida, West Java, gave an example that in West Java Province, IJP's revenue in 2023 reached IDR 250 billion with the number of MSMEs reaching 1.2 million.

He said that a number of MSMEs that were included in Jamkrida's guarantee had been positive for a while, because almost all of them were visible MSMEs such as culinary entrepreneurs.

However, not all MSMEs can enter and we provide guarantees, all of which go through strict mechanisms such as conducting detailed assessments.

"So we don't directly take or appoint MSMEs to be included in the guarantee if they do credit in the Banking, either in terms of capacity, competence and sustainability, meaning that it runs well or not," he said.

Agus added that Jamkrida did not stop there, Jamkrida's whereabouts also accompanied MSME actors to take advantage of opportunities so that in the future there would be no traffic jams and problems.
