JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) revealed that next year there will be two Type A terminals operating, namely the Demak Terminal in West Java, and the Sebakul Water Terminal in Bengkulu.
Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Risyapudin Nurdin explained that the construction of the two terminals is still ongoing and is targeted to be completed this year. That way, both of them can operate in 2025,
"Of the 112 that have been submitted to the Directorate General of Hubdat (from the local government), two of them are still in the construction process, namely the Demak terminal, and the Sebakul Water Terminal. We target the two terminals to be operated by 2025," he said during a meeting with Commission V DPR, at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Thursday, July 4.

Teminal Type A Demak is located in Jogoloyo Village, Wonosalam District, West Java. The cancellation of this terminal cost around Rp. 60 billion from the state budget.
Meanwhile, the Sebakul Water Terminal will be built starting in 2023 and is targeted to be completed this year. The total budget for the construction of this terminal is IDR 10 billion for the first phase, and IDR 15 billion will be added.
