Jokowi's 63rd Birthday Today, Minister Basuki: May Always Be In God's Protect

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has his 63rd birthday today. Congratulations also came from the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono.

Initially, the media crew was conducting an interview with Minister Basuki after undergoing Friday prayers at his office. Then, the media crew tried to ask what they hoped for Jokowi on his birthday today.

Then, Basuki also responded to questions from the media crew. "I think that for the president, who today is the 63rd anniversary, we are a big family of the PUPR Ministry, including now the OIKN extended family, wish the 63rd president a happy birthday," said Basuki at his office, Friday, June 21.

"Hopefully, always in the protection of Allah, we can continue to care for all the children and grandchildren. Thank you," he continued.

When asked further about whether there was a special gift from him or the Ministry of PUPR himself, Basuki admitted that he did not exist. Because, words are special. "Just say it's special," he added.

Meanwhile, the Palace said Jokowi would remain in his office as usual. There is no special event to be held to celebrate Jokowi's birthday.

"Today the President has an office at the Palace as usual," said Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat (Setpres) Yusuf Permana to reporters, Friday, June 21.

"He never celebrated birthday events," he added.

For your information, Jokowi was born on June 21, 1961 in Surakarta (Solo), Central Java. Jokowi is the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia who has served since October 20, 2014.

Jokowi is the son of the couple Noto Miharjo and Sujiatmi. Jokowi is the eldest of four children.
