Summon SOE Bosses, Erick Thohir Tagih IKN Readiness Progress Ahead Of The August 17 Ceremony

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir summoned high-ranking state-owned companies. This summons is in preparation for the implementation of the August 17 Independence Ceremony in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN).

The meeting took place at the BUMN Ministry office in Jakarta, on Wednesday, June 19, which was attended by the Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, and PT PP (Persero) Tbk.

"We want to ensure that the support for preparations for the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN goes well," Erick wrote, quoted from Instagram @erickthohir, in Jakarta, Thursday, June 20.

During the meeting, PLN reported to Erick regarding electricity at IKN. PLN ensures that the electricity supply in IKN is safe. IKN's own electricity source will come from PLTS which has been grounded some time ago.

In addition, PLN also reports that it has prepared backups through the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) or supply of disturbance-free power, as well as emergency generators.

Erick received an explanation that the step was taken by PLN to anticipate if promised something in PLTS, UPS could be used as a power reserve at IKN.

Then, PTPP also reported that the construction of the Presidential Office and IKN Ceremony Field was ready to be used. Including the credential room to be used after the ceremony is complete.

"This is a very important state event, and I think this is a goal that we have to make sure it runs successfully. PLN was so far okay, and the palace was so far okay," he said.
