Jasa Marga Records 513,412 Vehicles Leaving Jabotabek During The 2024 Eid Holiday

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk noted, as many as 513,412 vehicles left the Jabotabek area during the long Eid al-Adha 2024 holiday period or on 14-16 June 2024. This figure is the cumulative traffic flow (traffic) of the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (to Merak), Ciawi GT (to Puncak), Cikampek Utama GT (to Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (to Bandung). "The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 25.09 percent compared to normal traffic," said Jasa Marga Marketing & Communication Department Head Faiza Riani in his official statement, Monday, June 17. For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek heading in three directions, namely with a majority of 273,349 vehicles (53.24 percent) heading East (Trans Java and Bandung), 120,974 vehicles (23.56 percent) heading West (Merak) and 119,089 vehicles (23.20 percent) heading South (Puncak). Faiza said traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road reached 142,143 vehicles, an increase of 82.44 percent from normal traffic. Then, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road reached 131,206 vehicles, an increase of 37.27 percent from normal traffic. "The total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs is 273,349 vehicles, an increase of 57.55 percent from normal traffic," he said. Next, traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Merak via the Cikupa GT Tangerang-Merak Toll Road as many as 120,974 vehicles. This figure is lower by 8.06 percent from normal traffic. Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 119,089 vehicles, an increase of 13.03 percent from normal traffic. Jasa Marga urges road users to anticipate trips before entering the toll road. Ensure that vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, ensure the adequacy of fuel and electronic money balances, use rest areas to rest if you are tired of driving and obey signs and directions from officers.
