PT PLN (Persero) has alerted 1,470 public electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU) in various regions during the Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijri holiday period.

PLN President Director (Managing Director) Darmawan Prasodjo said the enthusiasm of the community in using electric cars continues to increase, not only for use in the city, but also out of town.

"Reflecting on the experience of the Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri homecoming, the interest in the use of electric vehicles is quite high. For this reason, during this Eid al-Adha moment, PLN is ready to fully support electricity vehicle infrastructure services for the community," Darmawan said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, June 16.

Darmawan said, to ensure smooth travel for people using electric vehicles, PLN collaborated with partners to present 1,470 SPKLUs in 1,028 locations throughout Indonesia.

All of these SPKLU facilities are spread across every rest area of the toll road in Indonesia and strategic points, with details of 156 ultra fast charging SPKLU units, 240 fast charging SPKLU units, 496 medium charging SPKLU units, and 578 standard charging SPKLU units.

In addition to optimizing SPKLU infrastructure, PLN also deploys standby personnel at each SPKLU facility to make it easier for customers to recharge electric vehicles.

In order to ensure the convenience and smooth flow of homecoming for the public, all access to information regarding the SPKLU location can be accessed through the PLN Mobile application.

Through the trip planr feature in PLN Mobile, it is easier for electric vehicle users to plan long trips.

"For electric vehicle users, currently it is more calm if you drive because with this trip planner feature, users can find out charging from the starting point to the end point of the trip. This feature will provide recommendations for SPKLU points that are traversed on these travel routes," said Darmawan.

He added that PLN has presented the SPKLU hotline pop up feature in the latest version of the PLN Mobile application, so that customers will be directly connected to the SPKLU customer service WhatsApp number.

The hotline can also be accessed through the PLN 123 contact center with the WhatssAp number 08-777-11-123.

Efforts to provide infrastructure and electric vehicle services during the Eid holiday momentum are also in line with PLN's commitment to continue to encourage the electric vehicle ecosystem.
