JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) ensures that the presidential palace in the National Capital City (IKN) is ready to be occupied by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on August 17.
Chairman of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force, Ministry of PUPR Danis Sumadilaga, said that the presidential palace could be occupied if Jokowi wanted to stay at IKN after the August 17 ceremony.
However, Danis admitted, he did not know whether President Jokowi would stay at IKN on August 17.
"We are preparing it (the palace if President Jokowi wants to stay)," he said when met at the PUPR Ministry Office, Jakarta, Friday, June 14.
Danis revealed that the progress of the presidential palace was more than 70 percent. Meanwhile, the president's office has almost 90 percent.
"That (the presidential palace) is around 70 percent. For the president's office, it's almost 90, so if 90 add 70, the average is 80 percent of the presidential region, right," he explained.
