MHU Consistently Wins Gold PROPERDA, A Form Of Commitment To Implementing Responsible Environmental Protection

JAKARTA - PT Multi Harapan Utama (MHU), part of the MMS Group Indonesia (MMSGI), has again proven its achievements by winning the gold rating in the Company's Performance Rating Assessment Program in Management of the Environment of East Kalimantan Province (PROPERDA) for the period 2023-2024.

This award was handed over directly by the Acting Governor of East Kalimantan, Akmal Malik, at the Commemoration of World Environment Day 2024 at the Gran Senyiur Hotel Balikpapan, Wednesday, June 12.

The head of MHU Mining Engineering, Aris Subagyo, when receiving this award said that this achievement was a form of MHU's dedication and commitment in carrying out responsible environmental protection practices.

"We are not only focusing on the company's operational activities, of course environmental management and community empowerment will also be our priority," said Aris, in his statement, Friday, June 14.

Furthermore, Aris added that through a consistent achievement for two terms the company will continue to form partnerships with various parties, both the surrounding community, the relevant government, and educational institutions to continue to collaborate to preserve the environment.

The key to MHU's success in winning this award is through the implementation of proactive steps in waste management, energy efficiency, water conservation, and ecosystem protection and rehabilitation. With the implementation of a sustainable program, MHU has succeeded in maintaining the quality of the environment around its area of operation and has a positive impact on local communities in line with the vision and mission of the parent company MMSGI.

According to Aris, MHU is committed to continuing to improve environmental protection practices.

"This will be done through the development of environmentally friendly technology, routine monitoring of environmental impacts, and active participation in conservation and rehabilitation programs," Aris emphasized.

The Environmental Award and Performance of Regional Environment Management is an annual agenda held by the government for business actors and parties who have high dedication in implementing good and sustainable corporate governance.
