Pupuk Indonesia Successfully Pocketed IDR 1.3 Trillion Thanks To The Implementation Of Various Innovations

JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) managed to pocket IDR 1.3 trillion thanks to the implementation of various innovations carried out by the company throughout 2023.

This figure includes savings of IDR 1.2 trillion and an increase in the company's revenue of IDR 0.1 trillion.

President Director of Pupuk Indonesia Rahmad Pribadi explained that the innovations carried out internally by Pupuk Indonesia were proven to increase the company's financial performance. The company's profit or net profit in 2023 was recorded at IDR 6.25 trillion.

"This contribution from all innovation movements was recorded in total of IDR 1.3 trillion, both from savings of IDR 1.2 trillion and direct income," he said at the Pupuk Indonesia Innovation Award (PIIA) Summit 2024 at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, June 13.

Rahmad said there were 169 innovations that had been carried out by Pupuk Indonesia throughout 2023.

These various innovations were also appreciated through an assessment at the PIIA Summit 2024.

Furthermore, Rahmad said, one of the innovations implemented by Pupuk Indonesia is the iPubers application. This application was launched to facilitate the distribution of subsidized fertilizers because each transaction was recorded in real-time and farmers only needed to show a identity card (KTP).

Rahmad said the implementation of iPubers was also in line with the direction of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who wanted the distribution of subsidized fertilizers to be more targeted, and to be easier for farmers.

"We decided to implement it to all kiosks, and it was successfully carried out in one month. In my opinion, with (applied at) 27,000 kiosks, thank God it can be digitized in one month, that's an extraordinary achievement," he said.

In the future, Rahmad hopes that various innovations can continue to be created by Indonesian Pupuk people to encourage the company's development. Moreover, innovation is the key to facing a future that continues to move forward.

"I hope persistence (dependence) on the spirit of this innovation can be maintained. We without innovation believe in and believe that no company can survive. Let alone talk about developing, survive is impossible if there is no innovation," he said.
