The Government Is Considered Too Lembek, The Action Of Foreigners For Illegal Gold Mining

Member of Commission VII DPR RI Mulyanto assessed that the government is soft in dealing with foreigners who are illegal gold mining actors in Palu City, Central Sulawesi.

He urged law enforcement officials to take firm action and thoroughly investigate the intellectual actors behind him. The government should not be loose in cases like this.

Even though recently in Kalimantan several Chinese foreigners were arrested in the case of illegal gold mining which openly used heavy equipment and involved 80 people, some of whom did not have work visas.

"Now the same incident has been found again in Central Sulawesi. This indicates that the crime of illegal gold mining by Chinese foreigners is indeed coordinated and planned," said Mulyanto, Tuesday, June 11.

For this reason, Mulyanto asked law enforcement officials to clearly disclose the modes and losses of the state that occurred.

Mulyanto said that law enforcement officials should not cover up the amount of state losses and must be calculated immediately even though they are still in the form of rough estimates.

"This is important, so that the public can continue to oversee the complete disclosure of this case. This is a case that injures our national natural natural resources sovereignty," he said.

Mulyanto also asked that the formation of the Illegal Mining Task Force, which had been predicted for a long time, be completed immediately.

He said the government should have a sense of crisis and prioritize the formation of an Illegal Mining Task Force rather than distributing IUPK to Religious Organizations.

"The problems in sight are not immediately resolved, but instead create new problems," concluded Mulyanto.
