Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan Finds Bonded Tubes Problem, Reduces LPG Gas Volume By 3 Kg

Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan revealed that the staining tube caused the volume of LPG gas to be 3 kilograms (kg) or subsidized to decrease from the size it should have been. He conveyed this after directly inspecting the Elpiji Bulk Filling and Transport Station (SPPBE) owned by PT Bajubang Gasindo (Sadikun) in Cimahi, West Java, on Saturday, June 1.

"The save, when it's been a long time, the name is iron, it will be stainless and it needs to be refrigerated. Karabated tubes can cause gas volume to decrease from what it should be, and if forced on, this could be detrimental to consumers," said Zulkifli Hasan, who is familiarly called Zulhas.

Zulhas emphasized the importance of repairingAligned tubes in accordance with a 5 kilogram gross weight standard before being circulated. He noted that during his inspection at SPPBE Sadikun, there were significant improvements despite some minor shortcomings that were still reasonable.

"Here I see something that sounds, it's 3 kilos less than 0.03 grams LPG. That's a reasonable measure, so here it's good," he said.

Zulhas also highlighted the findings of the practice of reducing the contents of 3 kilograms of LPG in several SPPBEs in Jakarta, Tangerang, Greater Bandung, and Purwakarta. He said that after his visit to Tanjung Priok, Pertamina's supervision became tighter and more systematic, so that there had been improvements in several locations.

"Alhamdulillah, after being crowded since we visited Tanjung Priok, Pertamina has also carried out more systematic and tighter supervision. So there have been improvements here and there," said Zulkifli.

When asked about whether the SPPBE in Cimahi was included in the fraudulent gas filling report, Zulhas indicated negligence regarding the condition of the tube, but it has now been repaired. "Yes, maybe just forget it. However, in checking this time, it seems that it is going well here. So please people, if you take gas here, God willing, the scales are guaranteed to be sufficient and good, and the tubes have been repaired," he added.

The practice of LPG fraud 3 kg was found in 11 official SPPBEs in Jakarta, Tangerang, Greater Bandung, and Purwakarta, with the alleged reduction in the volume of 3 kilograms of LPG gas weighing 200-700 grams. This finding is a serious concern for Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan who continues to increase supervision and ensure improvements throughout the existing SPPBE.
