JAKARTA - President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan PRasodjo revealed that there will be four green energy projects that will start operating in 2025.
Darmo said, Darmawan's nickname, this type of green energy comes from solar energy and strong energy or wind.
"As a continuation of PLN's commitment to increasing the EBT mix in Indonesia, in the future there will be more PLN's EBT power plants that will soon operate," said Darmo, quoted on Friday, May 31.
He detailed that the project is the Saguling Floating Solar Power Plant (PLTS) with a capacity of 60 megawatts (MW), PLTS Floating Karangkates with a capacity of 100 MW, the Timor Bayu Power Plant (PLTB) with a capacity of 22 MW and the Tanah Laut PLTB with a capacity of 70 MW.
Not only the four projects, other EBT projects planned by PLN include Singkarak Floating PLTS with a capacity of 50 MW which will operate in 2026, and South Sulawesi PLTB with a capacity of 60MW and 70 MW, respectively, which will certainly operate in 2027.
He also explained that his party has currently implemented the 2021-2030 Green Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) with an EBT portion of 20.9 gigawatts (GW) until 2030.

"As of April 2024, PLN with its best efforts has processed 17.5 GW of power plants based on renewable energy," added Darmo.
He also detailed the amount of 5 GWs in the funding process; while 7.8 GWs are in the procurement process, then 3.46 GWs are in the construction process and 1.1 GWs have started operating. The other 3.6 GWs are still in the planning stage.
