JAKARTA - PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) or Telkom at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) approved the distribution of cash dividends worth IDR 17.68 trillion or equivalent to IDR 178.50 per share for the 2023 financial year.

Telkom's cash dividend or Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) is equivalent to 72 percent of the company's net profit for the 2023 financial year or grew 6.5 percent year on year (yoy) compared to the previous year.

"The remaining 28 percent (of the net) or Rp6.88 trillion is allocated as retained earnings, which will be used to finance the company's business development in the business domain of digital connectivity, digital platforms and digital services," said Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah in a press conference after the AGMS in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Friday, May 3.

Ririek explained that dividends worth IDR 178.50 per share will be given to shareholders listed on the Company's Register of Shareholders at the close of stock trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on May 17, 2024.

"Cash dividends will be paid at once no later than June 6, 2024," said Ririek.

He explained that 2023 is a critical key milestone for the company in its transformation.

For the digital connectivity pillar, Telkom is realized through the FMC program and the formation of the InfraCo, for the digital business platform pillar through the consolidation of the Data Center and B2B Digital IT Service, and for the pillars of the digital service business through the DigiCo initiative.

Telkom posted consolidated revenue in 2023 worth IDR 149.2 trillion or grew 1.3 percent (yoy) compared to the same period last year.

Profit before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortization or EBITDA was recorded at IDR 77.6 trillion with an EBITDA margin at 52.0 percent.

Meanwhile, the company's net profit grew double digits by 18.3 percent (yoy) to IDR 24.6 trillion by the end of 2023, contributed by data's business growth, Internet & IT Service which grew 6.5 percent (yoy) to IDR 87.4 trillion.
