Up 2 Percent, Jabodebek LRT Users As Of April 2024 Reach 1.4 Million

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that the number of passengers on the Jabodebek LRT reached 1,402,933 people in April 2024.

This number increased 2 percent from the previous month's 1,380,044 users in March.

The average number of users using the Jabodebek LRT on weekdays is 64,365 users.

Meanwhile, the average user on weekends (weekends) reached 26,650 users.

Jabodebek LRT Public Relations Manager Mahendro Trang Bawono said the number of Jabodebek LRT users in 2024 will always increase every month.

Furthermore, Mahendro said, the high number of passengers showed that the Jabodebek LRT was increasingly in demand by the public as transportation in everyday mobilization.

"From January 2024 to April 2024, the number of Jabodebek LRT users has always increased. Even if the number of Jabodebek LRT users in April is compared to January, there is a significant growth of 16 percent," Mahendro said in an official statement, Thursday, April 2.

Mahendro said this increase could not be separated from the factor of public confidence in the Jabodebek LRT service.

Support from stakeholders such as the Ministry of Transportation through promo rates is also an important factor in increasing public interest.

In addition, continued Mahendro, the large number of Jabodebek LRT trips is also another factor in increasing the number of users.

"KAI believes that the trend of increasing Jabodebek LRT users will continue along with public trust in the reliability of this mode of transportation, which has not even operated for 1 year," said Mahendro.

"KAI also expressed its gratitude for the trust of the people who chose the Jabodebek LRT as their preferred mode of transportation," he continued.

With this trust, said Mahendro, KAI is committed to continuing to improve the Jabodebek LRT service in accordance with the expectations of the community.

"And in supporting the government's role in reducing congestion and reducing air pollution through the use of mass transportation," he explained.
