Pegadaian Earns IDR 1.4 Trillion Net Profit In The First Quarter Of 2024

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Pegadaian Damar Latri Setiawan stated that his party posted a net profit of IDR 1.4 trillion in the first quarter of this year or an increase of 33.2 percent from the previous year (year-on-year/yoy).

"In addition to the transformation carried out and the consistency carried out, of course this achievement does not escape the holding of Ultra Micro SOEs which has succeeded in encouraging the micro-bid financing business through pawn products and investment through non-dai products," said Damar Latri Setiawan in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, April 25.

He stated that the positive performance was supported by an increase in the distribution of financing loans by 10.7 percent yoy to Rp54.7 trillion, along with the number of customers who also increased by 9.3 percent yoy to 24.4 million customers as of March 2024.

In addition, he also noted a 303.9 percent increase in Islamic KUR financing to IDR 2.9 trillion during the first quarter of 2024 from IDR 710 billion in the first quarter of the previous year.

Regarding the company's financial ratio, Damar said that his condition was getting healthier with a decrease in non-performing loans (NPL) from 1.37 percent during the first three months of 2023 to 1.24 percent from January to March 2024.

The company's Operational Revenue Expense (BOPO) also decreased from 65.27 percent in the first quarter of 2023 to 62.74 percent in the first quarter of 2024.

Pegadaian pun mengalami pertumbuhan aset sebesar 14,3 persen yoy menjadi Rp87 triliun dan Outstanding Loan (OSL) Gross sebesar 17 persen yoy menjadi Rp71,6 triliun.

To strengthen the company's positive performance, Damar said that his party will continue to facilitate the public to invest and obtain consumptive loans and productive financing.

"Together with BRI and PNM, Pegadaian is committed to developing MSMEs, one of which is by channeling financing of Sharia People's Business Credit (KUR)," he said.
